Sarah
ITS A GIRL!!!!
On Tuesday I woke up around six in the morning with contractions about seven minutes apart. I wasn’t sure at first if they were the real contractions so I made some breakfast and then lay back down. About an hour later they were beginning to get really intense and decided to wake up the husband. He got up and ate and got ready and we headed to the hospital around eleven. When we got to the hospital I was only 1 cm dilated. So they checked me in anyway because the contractions were now only two minutes apart and getting a lot stronger. I then waiting in the room and walked around the hospital. They checked me an hour later and I was at three so then we headed to the delivery room. I took a nice warm bath while waiting and the contractions were so strong at this point I could barely breathe through them. So I decided to go ahead with the epidural which I really didn’t want to get anyway but I just could not take the pain. After getting the epidural Sarah began to stress out and her heart rate was all over the place ranging from 150 to 80. The midwife then decided to give me an injection of Pitocin to speed up the labor and it sure worked because within twenty minutes of the injection I went from 3 to 8 cm. Sarah was out and very healthy about twenty minutes later. She weighed 6 lbs 2 oz and 19 inches and was born at 1646. Overall it was a very easy labor besides the stress of it all. There were slight complications with me after the birth but all is well and we are all home and can’t wait to begin our little family with our sweet Kleine Mouse. We are so blessed that everything went well and Allen was able to be home for Sarah’s arrival.
